1. Intimacy and rated R subjects (descriptive sex scenes, extremely gorey plots, etc.) MUST go in the Mature Board. If they are not made there, the member who made the thread will be given 10% warning and the thread will be moved. PM me for the password. IMPORTANT: THIS PASSWORD MAY NOT BE DISTRIBUTED BY OTHER ADMINS AND MEMBERS FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: I CAN KEEP TRACK OF WHO CAN GET IN AND WHO CAN'T. IF I CATCH YOU INSIDE AND YOU HAVE NOT ASKED ME FOR THE PASSWORD, I WILL BAN YOU AND THE PERSON WHO GAVE YOU THE PASSWORD FOR THREE DAYS.
2. You may swear in the RP if you believe it is nesesary to keep the RP feeling real but please keep it scarce and relatively clean (I have blocked out the words I feel are really offensive). And there is little or no need to swear in the OOC boards.
3. Do not use chatspeak! This means writing things like brb, ttyl, g2g, bbl, afk, or anything like that. Not even in the ooc boards. I will not tolerate lazy bums who can't even write it out properly. Once the c-box is up, feel free to use chatspeak there and only there.
4. Please mark out of character comments in the RP board with an OOC: mark. Variations include //blah blah//, (blah blah), or ((blah blah)). If it is in the RP boards and something is in parentheses, it will be assumed as an out of character comment, unless it is found right in the middle of your post. It is suggested to use a variation rather than the simple single parentheses.
5. Be kind and curtious! No one wants to be at a forum where everyone's mean! If you feel that some is not acting as they should be, feel free to PM me. If it happens in the RPG boards, most likely it is just in-character stuff.
6. You must post in-character while on the RPG boards. Refer to Rule #4 for information of out of character comments. Aim to make your posts mostly in-character; only make OOC posts if it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.
7. No powerplaying!!! This means having your character be utterly indestructable. (ex: impossible to hurt, doing things that are clearly impossible by the character, etc.) It takes the fun away from everything.
8. Each account may have 10 characters, and only 10.
9. Account display names must be changed to that of the character(s). This makes it easier to tell who is who. If there are too many characters, change your display name to whatever you choose, but list your characters in your signature. To prove you have read this, put requiemone in your character profile for the first code. A link to the profile would be nice as well for easy access.
10. For those who have more than one character on one account, do not RP back and forth between them. In fact, try to keep the characters out of the same thread. If your characters MUST interact in the same thread, so be it, but do not RP back and forth. Give other members time to reply in between.
11. If your cannon character(s) is/are innactive (as in hasn't made any posts) in over 60 days then I will delete the character profile(s). This must be done so that characters that are no longer being played by somone may be freed up for a new person to play.
12. This of course is different if you leave an absence notice. If you are going to be on vacation or away for a while, then it would be very helpful to leave an absence notice in the updates board. This way we know you have not abandoned your character.
13. Each character is allowed in as many threads as they want at a time. They don't have to be restricted to only one thread. Make sure to leave a note of your character leaving the thread when you do. However, don't go overboard with your threads; having too many threads may lead to forgotten threads.
14. Please read "Guide To Starting Up" for steps on what to do to get yourself up and RPing.
15. Everyone should RP in third-person, past-tense. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. It just sounds more organized, and is the format that RPing should be in, so please use it. ><
16. HAVE FUN!
